Yoga For The Autistic Community

The One Stop Shop Aberdeen and Triple A’s are excited to bring a six month Yoga Programme in partnership with the fantastic not for profit social enterprise Edinburgh Community Yoga.

The yoga programme will comprise of 3 one hour yoga zoom classes per week and run for 24 weeks. Classes have been specifically developed for autistic people and their families. 

You can access these classes free of charge and following each class you will receive a streaming link by email to allow you to access and replay the class until the next week's class is available. Please note you can join the programme at any point in the 24 week block, so don’t worry if you miss the start.

We know that the current crisis has been incredibly stressful for autistic people and their families and we wanted to help! We have been awarded funding from the Scottish Government Wellbeing Fund to bring you this fantastic programme to support people across Scotland during these extraordinary times.

While we strive to secure funding for our yoga classes this year, the wonderful team at Edinburgh Community Yoga have donated a class per week free of charge so we can start the classes back up straight away! 

What do you have to do to attend? All people previously registered for the classes will be automatically enrolled and receive the new Zoom links by email. If you didn’t join the classes last year, no problem, please register below to attend.

Carers we have not forgotten about you!  we hope to reinstate our Carer’s yoga class too! We will keep you updated on social media and email when we have more news.

We are running two classes per week and residents across Scotland are welcome to join. Classes have been specifically developed for autistic people and their families.

We are delighted to announce we have secured funding from Fair Aberdeen to continue to run our Autistic & Carers' Yoga Classes up to June 2020!

What do you have to do to attend? All people previously registered for the autistic yoga classes have been automatically enrolled and will continue to use the Zoom links sent by email. If you didn’t join these classes last year, no problem, please register below to attend.

Carers' can we request you reregister for the new Gentle Carers' Yoga class below. And as always new participants are welcome to join too.

Yoga for Mental Health

Class description: The focus of the yoga class will be to connect to our breath and body through movement in order to help us feel more relaxed and at ease.

This class is suitable for all levels and range of options will be provided to accommodate to suit the individual level so they can go at their pace

Gentle Carers Yoga


TEACHER - HANNAH KING


Tuesdays 8-9pm


 Class description: This class is a gentle and steady paced class suitable for absolute beginners, or anybody who wants to slow down and relax. We will focus on simple movement to encourage more body awareness and physical mobility, as well as look at the other fundamental aspects of yoga such as breath and meditation. This class will include some yin (a passive practice) and yoga nidra (deep relaxation).

This class is suitable for all levels and range of options will be provided to accommodate to suit the individual level so they can go at their pace

Class description: Gentle movement, stretching, relaxation and meditation to prepare everyone for a good night's sleep.

This class is suitable for all levels and range of options will be provided to accommodate to suit the individual level so they can go at their pace
